Forgiven? Forgiveness? Maybe you're wondering what this site is all about. Recently I was listening to someone explaining that in several countries churches are not always called "churches" but "Houses of Prayer". I thought, yes, that highlights something very important that goes on in a church, but what about the people? Who are they?
Then I came across this phrase, "The House of the Forgiven", and thought: "Yes, that's it. A genuinely Christian church is not made up of people who have been especially good, but of people who have acknowledged their sinfulness and accepted God's forgiveness."
So here we are with a web site, an online "House of the Forgiven". In later pages we'll think about everyone's need of God's forgiveness. Next we'll move on to finding forgiveness through Jesus Christ, his death and resurrection. And then we'll take a look at some practical lifestyle questions. What is it like to know that we're forgiven, and how will this affect our own willingness to forgive others?
